Welcome to UQCS in 2015

The UQ Computing Society would like to welcome all our new members for 2015, and welcome back all our continuing members. To kick off this year's events, we invite you to our Welcome to UQCS event for 2015, which is free for all members.

At the event, we'll be introducing our 2015 Executive team, as well as introduce our upcoming events. It's the perfect chance to catch up with other computing students, and even make some new friends. And of course, an event like this wouldn't be complete without free pizza for all our members!

Semester 2 Exam Revision

UQCS and EBESS will again be holding their regular SWOTVAC tutorial session for anyone interested in getting some help before exams.

Duck Race

We all know how useful Rubber Duck Debugging is for programming. With the recent influx of ducks across GP South at UQ, from CSSE2310 to the ITLC tutors, we thought it was appropriate to go one step further and participate in the Brisbane Duck Race, to support the PA Research Foundation.

UQCS Presents: A seminar with Accenture

Accenture is coming to UQ to speak to students about their graduate program, Accenture Adventure. This is a great opportunity to find out more about Accenture and the industry. Following the seminar, a free pizza lunch will be provided to all in attendance.

Board Games Night

We know that people like to play games. To complement our Staff vs Students Video Games series, the UQ Computing Society is introducing a new way to have fun: Board Games Nights!

Our inaugural night of board games will be on Tuesday 12 August. We will start off with FREE PIZZA for dinner, then move on to playing games. We will have a range of games available, and you are encouraged to bring along games that you would like to play on the night. Invite your friends to come along and join in - the more the merrier.
